Madison, WI – Twisted pair and fiber optic signal extenders are a regular part of residential and commercial audio-visual projects; yet these devices are often left as an afterthought, forcing them to be velcroed, taped or left dangling in racks, credenzas, and podiums.
TechLogix Networx, the Wisconsin-based manufacturer of signal distribution electronics, introduced a comprehensive line of rack chassis’ designed to not only secure multiple extenders in a typical 19 inch audio-visual rack, but also ensure proper airflow and thermal management for mounted devices. Their RK Series offers four device, eight device and twelve device mounting trays designed for a variety of twisted pair, fiber optics and AV over IP extension devices.
“Twisted pair and fiber optic transmitters and receivers often operate with a high thermal output,” explains Christopher Melendy, TechLogix CTO. “We recognized this and designed the RK Series to provide an ideal mounting platform for clean cable management and robust thermal management.”
The TL-RK01 supports up to 12 total devices, mounted vertically in a 5U rack footprint with wire management bars positioned in the rear of the rack; whereas the TL-RK02 supports up to four total devices, mounted horizontally in a 1U rack footprint. The TL-RK03 supports up to eight total devices, mounted vertically in a 6U rack footprint with reinforced steel strength bracing.
All units ship with optional mounting blanks for unused slots.
